Microsoft has confirmed the existence (and price!) Of the Xbox Series S, a smaller, cheaper version of the next-generation Xbox Series X.
Following the leak, Microsoft confirmed the price of the Xbox Series S in a tweet released Tuesday morning. A picture of the console, as well as a tweet from Microsoft’s Xbox Twitter account, tweeted, “Let’s make it official.” Microsoft said more information about the console was coming “soon.”
Let’s make it official!

The console depicted in Microsoft’s tweets is thinner than the Xbox Series X, with a larger circular fan on the side. (You can’t miss it)) There is also no optical disk drive that is integrated with the previous report.
Samsung later reported on Xbox Series S technical specs for Thurrot. The Series S will support resolutions up to 1440p (up to 4K) and variable refresh rates up to 120 fps, as well as ray tracing and variable-rating shading. The system reportedly comes with a 512 GB solid-state drive.
The Xbox Series S was apparently confirmed in August via a few Xbox controller packaging published online. Despite being badly kept secret, the Xbox Series S has never been recognized by Microsoft – yet. In the image released by Microsoft, the company notes that the Xbox Series S is “the next gene performance after the smallest Xbox of all time”, which was what people expected: a low-cost Xbox console that is equivalent to the Xbox One S of this generation.
The Xbox Series X is a high-end, flagship console – and it will be priced that way. Microsoft has not announced a release date or pricing for the Xbox Series X. In August, Microsoft confirmed that its Xbox Series X has a release date of November – but no specific date has been given.
