Google Hangouts, Doordash, Nest, Drive and Gmail all suffered. There are also reports that YouTube, a popular video sharing site owned by Google, was experiencing technical difficulties.
The issue is now fixed and Google services are working as usual.
Users trying to access some Google services received an error message saying: “The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
“Please try again in 30 seconds. We know all this. “
A website called Dundetector that notes when services go offline, most of those reporting was in North America and East Asia.

There were also clusters of problem reporters in South America, Australia and New Zealand.
According to technology site Gizmodo, the trouble started at 9pm EDT (11am BST).
Google Services cites a report from the site: “Some people like Gmail took significantly longer to load while other services like Google Play Store and Calendar seem to be in an endless boot-up loop and will not load at all.”
Many Google customers went to social media to express frustration.

One of the people trying to access Google services received an error message
Gracie, a Boston College student in the United States, tweeted a cartoon of crying in a picture.
He added with the caption: “When Google Docs goes down and you lose your entire text so you go to email your professor that you may not be able to turn it on but Gmail is down.”
Another Twitter user commented: “What could be wrong. Gmail, Google Drive, all down.
“Looks like it’s down worldwide? Thanks 2020.”

One-third posted a picture with a head in one hand and captioned it: “Google classroom down and I didn’t do my job.”
A social media user in Portland, Oregon, has asked Google to issue a statement explaining why some students are unable to finish their work.
They tweeted: “Google should probably give you a statement for those poor students who can’t access their classrooms right now or access their docs.”
“Maybe someone provided a ‘Google ate my homework’ note or something.
When contacted by The New York Times, Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
