CES 2021 – HP Unveils Envy 14, All-Rounder Laptop and Renovates Its Pro Lines

At CES 2021 in Las Vegas, HP is focusing on its business laptop, but adding a novelty for the general public: the Envy 14, a multimedia PC that intends to cast a wide net.

HP’s Envy line already has 13 and 15-inch computers. The Envy 14 which has been announced by the manufacturer only, will link between the two with a 14-inch screen in 16:10 format. This full HD touch screen is supposed to provide good color accuracy from the factory with a Delta E of less than 2. Anytime (without using Post-It) some new features are expected with a physical shutter to hide the webcam, as well as a key on the keyboard dedicated to stopping the microphone.

Regarding commercial laptops, HP is upgrading its Elite Dragonfly with version 2. A classic office PC running on an Intel processor, it will be available in many forms of storage and RAM. A Max variant is also announced, which is the same all the way, but with a better webcam and more microphones for more enjoyable conference use.

The HP Elite X2 G8 replaces the G4, 2-in-1 hybrid PC for mobile professionals who need a tablet mode. Some new features are planned except for the switch on the 11th generation Intel Core processor. The same goes for the EliteBook x360 1030 and 1040 convertible computers that go from G7 to G8.

The Aero version of the EliteBook 840 G8 is also expected to be a lightweight model similar to its counterpart, but grabbing around 230G on the scale. HP has not yet communicated release dates or prices for these various models, but it won’t be long.
