Upon hearing the news of the party, the police forced the bar to close

Police were forced to close a town center bar after a party report.

Officers were called to The Bar in Nelson Square in Bolton yesterday evening (Friday, September 4).

It was reported that a party was taking place inside the venue.

As a result, the bar was ordered closed for the rest of the evening.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers were present at The Bar in Nelson Square, Bolton, following a party report on Friday evening (September 20, 2020).

“Advice was given and the bar was temporarily closed for the evening.”

The lockdown rule was relaxed to allow the bar to open on July 4, but the two demolitions currently in Bolton include a ban on mixing indoors.

The borough currently has the worst covid-19 infection rate in the country, at 92.16 per 100,000 people.

The city has seen the highest rate since the epidemic began.

Public health officials say the vast majority of people infected with the virus in Bolton are under the age of 40.

Other parts of Greater Manchester are now witnessing leisure opportunities and some restrictions on indoor performances, with spikes in the new transition they will be off at Bolton.

The bar has been contacted for comment.
