Maiji Smith has given her verdict as to why she is misunderstanding the public.
The Streetly Low Dancing contestant, 19, has finished in the bottom two for the second time and wonders why he knows.
The EastEnders star – who is the youngest celebrity of the year on the hit BBC One dance show – was saved by judges Shirley Balas, Craig Revel Harwood and Anton Du Beck last weekend.
Her routine with supporting partner Gorky Marquez put her down to dance against Caroline Quintin, lowering her confidence somewhat.
He said ok! Mag: “People say they can’t warm me up, but I’m very nervous and that can be interpreted as arrogance.”

He added: “I’ll calm down, or face a confidence I will go to the top. It’s hard not to let it affect you. I just have to really remind myself to believe in myself, and I have to be.”
After landing at the bottom two with Gorky, Maiji is reported to have cried all night.
“It boosted my confidence. I’ve been trying so hard – we’ve all got it,” he said. “But I had to remind myself not to take it personally …”

He added: “The truth is, when I heard my name, it was a terrible feeling. I’ve never been in a situation like this.
“It wasn’t a very nice feeling.”
Macy and Gorky have formed a close friendship together during their time on dance shows, Macy admits that Gorky always took pictures of her daughter.
Garka is the proud father of daughter Mia, whom he shares with girlfriend Jemma Atkinson.

“She is OK [Gorka] They show me pictures of their daughter every day. An hour later I will get a new picture of her. She loves that baby so much.
“You can say he’s missing her. He can see them, but he can’t go to them.
“She knows she can’t hug Mia and she doesn’t understand why, so I don’t think she’s looking at their flesh as a result.”
