What happened overnight

ACyan shares were mixed at the end of a four-day trading session on Thursday, thanks in part to a report on U.S. job despair, when Groenback fell 2-1 / 2 years with growing optimism about a coronavirus vaccine.

The dollar index fell to a 2-1 / 2 year low of 90,948 on Thursday and last stood at 90.976.

The e-mini futures of the S&P 500 were as weak as the Dow futures. Eurostex 50 futures are down 0.1%, Germany Dex is down 0.2% and London FTSE futures are down 0.4%.

In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei remained unchanged, with South Korea’s Kospi and Australia’s benchmark index up about 0.4% each. Chinese stocks blue chip CSI 300 index fell 0.2%. New Zealand stocks were also weak.

This is MSCI’s broader index of Asia-Pacific shares rising 0.4% outside of Japan after a two-day straight gain.
