Chris Columbus is not a fan of Disney + ‘s Home Alone reboot.

The 622-year-old filmmaker told Insider on Thursday that he had not been contacted about the project and believed it was a “waste of time” creatively.

Columbus, who also directed movies such as Mrs. Dubtfire, Nine Months and One Lonely, said it would be impossible to revive the magic of the 1990 holiday classic.
