United States: New York State Governor Kathy Hochul tests positive for Covid-19

New York State Governor Cathy Hochul announced on Sunday that she had tested positive for COVID-19.

“Today I tested positive for Covid-19. Luckily, I have been vaccinated and got my third dose,” she said on her Twitter account, adding that she had no symptoms.

She also indicated that she would continue to work remotely during this week.

The governor also urged New Yorkers to get vaccinated and receive their third dose to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

New York state has been living in an upswing in Covid-19 contamination in early May, raising fears of a return to the restrictive measures that had paralyzed the US metropolis for more than two years.
