Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed developments in Ukraine, Yemen and oil markets with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday that there had been a telephone conversation between the Russian president and the Saudi crown prince.

The same source reported that the two sides discussed “urgent issues related to bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade areas”, and expressed a “general desire to further develop mutually beneficial relations” between the two sides. .

The Kremlin also said that the two sides discussed cooperation within the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC and the OPEC+ Alliance (which are OPEC oil producing countries and producers outside the organisation).

During the communication, the two sides also discussed developments in Ukraine and Yemen.
