In the United Kingdom, around 43,000 cases of Covid-19 are recorded every day, while the population is highly vaccinated. To understand this, we have to look at the lifting of the ban in July.

In London (United Kingdom), it is a pre-Covid breeze floating on a very busy street in the British capital. The rules of mask and social distancing are over. The approximately 43,000 daily cases do not concern the population, most of whom are vaccinated. However, the number of contaminants in the country reached the same level as in December 2020, when Boris Johnson announced a third British imprisonment.

In July, almost all restrictions were lifted. The United Kingdom has no further health passes or mandatory masks, only recommended in some places, such as the metro. At supermarket entrances, customers have the choice between whether or not to shop with their masks on, and for many, it is without them. It was difficult for the British to follow the contradictory signals. “The UK is doing the opposite of other countries, especially in Europe, and this is why we are currently facing one of the highest levels of contamination in Europe”Linda Bould, professor of public health at the University of Edinburgh.
