The official visit of Vuong Dinh Hue, president of the Vietnamese National Assembly, to Europe from 26 to 30 June, has attracted a lot of attention from the Italian media.

Several articles have been published, highlighting Vietnam’s cooperation with European countries, particularly its achievements with respect to trade and investment, as well as human rights.

news paper La Citta Futura published an article claiming that Vietnam was in fact implementing its commitments under its free trade agreements with the European Union (EVFTA) and the United Kingdom (UKVFTA).
The author emphasized Vietnam’s position as Italy’s major partner in Southeast Asia, and Italy’s gateway to the European Union in general and the Association of Asian Nations in particular.Southeast (ASEAN).
For its part, daily Marks 21 recalled that with its second appointment to the UN Human Rights Council, Vietnam was showing a good direction in its policies to promote human rights.

As a member of the Human Rights Council for the period 2014–2016, Vietnam participated fully and responsibly in the Council’s activities and programs. The fact that he was selected by ASEAN countries as a candidate for Southeast Asia to join the Human Rights Council for the term 2023–2025 shows the regional organization’s great faith in Vietnam in the region.
