Former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and daughter started in New Zealand

Poisoned by a former spy and Russian military intelligence agents, his daughter started a new life in New Zealand.

According to London’s Sunday Times newspaper, Sergei Skripal and her daughter Yulia settled in the country after settling in a British MI6 safe home after spending more than a year.

Both were found unconscious on a park bench in the English city of Salisbury in March 2018. An investigation revealed that the couple were poisoned with Novichok. A Soviet-era chemical nerve agent that has been infected by the Russian operators on the door handle of their home.

Skripal, once a Russian spy, was disturbed by its former colleagues after acting as a double agent on behalf of the British in the 1990s and 2000s.

Both the father and daughter survived the attack in critical condition after a long time.

Russia has a long history of targeting the enemies of the state beyond its borders. In 2006, Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko was killed in London after being poisoned with Polonium.

While they’ll probably be under the radar for the rest of their lives, Skripals is still in contact with their ex-neighbor, Ross Cassidy, and his wife Mo, who received a Christmas letter from their mail in December.

“It’s good to know what they think of us,” Cassidy said to the Sunday Times. “But I don’t think we’ll see them again.”
