In this case, they continue, all those targeted by the request are involved in the brutal repression of opponents of the Condé regime.

Bourdon and Brengarth cite examples of Condé’s bloody suppression of anti-Third protests by security forces, in which at least twelve people were killed in Conakry, with many wounded and the presence of mass graves, fifty. In N’zérékoré.

He believes his request is still relevant, even if President Condé is overthrown by a military putsch on 5 September. Both the lawyers warned that another list of figures from the previous regime would be followed in the coming days.
