The science-fiction series “Doctor Who” reports two departures: leaving lead actress Jodie Whitaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall.

After three seasons, Jodie Whitaker (39) will leave the successful British science-fiction series “Doctor Who”. “BBC” reports. Accordingly, his contract expires in autumn 2022. “I will always carry the doctor and the things I have learned with me,” Whitaker said in a statement. In addition, the 39-year-old, who has been the first woman to play the eponymous doctor since 2017, thanked the entire team of the cult series: “My heart is full of love for this show.”
