Several ambassadors accredited from Morocco visited the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) under the Directorate General of Regional Monitoring (DGST) on Thursday. “An opportunity for these diplomats to learn about the efforts made by Morocco in the fight against terrorism and organized crime”, Official MAP agency report.

The stated purpose of the visit is to appreciate the actions of the security apparatus, especially in the fight against terrorism and about “The importance of Morocco’s security cooperation with the rest of the world”. A communications campaign addressed to the diplomatic corps comes at a time when Moroccan intelligence services are accused by Forbidden Stories, its media partners and Amnesty International of using the Israeli spyware Pegasus to spy on a number of public figures, including foreign officials .

The delegation of diplomats who visited the BCIJ headquarters included ambassadors from Cameroon, Chad, Egypt, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Belgium, Tunisia, Portugal, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Mauritania . , Kazakhstan and South Korea, as well as the charge d’affaires of the United States, Libya, Canada and Spain.

Note, however, the notable absence of the French and Germans.
