Marrakech – Marrakech’s Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) was honored in the category “Agriculture Science” at the second edition of the Research Excellence Awards, a national competition that this year awarded 4 Moroccan universities, 03 journals and 10 research professors.

Thus, the first prize in the category “Agricultural Sciences” was awarded to two scientists from UCA: Khabba Said (Faculty of Science of Marrakech) and Er-Raqi Salah (Faculty of Science and Technology (FST of Marrakech)).

Organized by the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) and Clarivate Company under the aegis of the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, the event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from the academic world. world and Moroccan universities world.

The competition, which aims to reward the excellence of national research, has been awarded for this edition to 4 universities with strong potential, notably integrating international rankings on Clarivate’s Web of Science (WOS) are based.

These are the Mohammed V University of Rabat, the Hassan II University of Casablanca, the Cady Ayyad University of Marrakech and the Mohamed Premier University of Oujda.

The second edition of the Research Excellence Awards also rewarded 10 Moroccan research professors who distinguished themselves during the period (2016-2020) by the impact of their scientific output in the Web of Science, particularly in the disciplines of essential science. (ESI), where Morocco has a strong international presence.

The competition also rewarded 3 journals part of the WOS Core-Collection’s International Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) collection, which participate in the dissemination of scientific research internationally.
