First Minister Mark Drakeford gave an update on the situation in Wales on Friday.

He stated that Wales was the only part of the UK where the daily rate of new coronavirus infections was falling.

“In the past seven days, over 40,300 tests had been carried out in Wales and 141 of them were positive. That is a positivity rate of 0.3%,” he said.

He said that even though some areas of Wales had seen “peaks”, they were not resulting in community outbreaks.
