In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wished “peace and happiness to all Muslims celebrating the month of Ramadan”, according to a post on his official Twitter page.
“One of the Five Pillars of Islam, this spiritual journey lasts a month and is a period of fasting, charitable donations and prayer. At the end of each day, family and friends usually gather to share iftar, a meal that Allows them to break the fast at sunset,” Trudeau said in his speech.

Trudeau highlighted in the video the “extraordinary contributions of Muslim Canadians who have stepped up to help those in need over the past two difficult years.”
