This is another unexpected result of Brexit. Since 1is January, the United Kingdom abolishes VAT on periodic protection, commonly known as the “buffer tax”. The measure was announced by the Treasury’s Chancellor Rishi Sanak in his budget presented in March. Since January 31, 2020, the end of the transition period after Brexit, the United Kingdom is no longer required to comply with European law, which imposes a minimum of 5% tax on hyphenic products, on the member; Deemed non-essential.
