Ultimate Frisbee in Waujni | newsmount

From March 11 to 13, Vaujny is hosting the tenth edition of “Catch la Pfe”, a final Frisbee tournament organized by the Monkey Club of Grenoble in partnership with the city of Vaujny. It will bring together approximately sixty players playing from Nationale 1 (ie French elite level) and/or from all over Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom….). Special feature of this competition: it is “cap”, meaning that participants register individually, but that teams (mixed, made up of eight people) are drawn from lots.

Contrary to what the name of the event indicates, it does not take place in the snow, but in the gymnasium of the Vaujani Sports Center. Schedule: Planning matches on Friday March 11th from 6pm to 8:30pm; Saturday March 12, Pool A matches from 9 am to 12:30 pm and Pool B matches from 2 pm to 5:30 pm; Classification matches on Sunday 13th March from 9am to 12pm. All matches last 30 minutes, without timeouts. Remember that the final is similar to rugby with a Frisbee (but without a tackle!), the goal of the game is to pass until you catch the Frisbee in the opposing goal. Free entry for visitors.
