The Sword and Shield Crown Tundra Gallery Star Tournament is the game’s “toughest challenge”.

Previews of Crown Tundra DLC, the second DLC published for Pokemon Sword and Shield, have revealed new details regarding the new content of the Expansion Pass.

In a report from VG247, more details of DLC’s post-game Gallerian Star Tournament are shared. The writing confirms that this tournament – described as the “toughest challenge” of the Pokemon Company representative game – will only be available to players who have completed the original stories in two Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC packs, and become champions in the base game.

Here’s what VG2424 has to say about the Gallerian Star Tournament:

“It’s basically a doubles Pokemon battle tournament, but there’s a twist – choose between the famous characters you want to partner with – be they gym leaders, champions, or other important figures in the sword and shield. Everybody else is paired later, and You then take part in a knockout tournament.

This certainly seems like an interesting new feature for those who have already poured hours into the original game and hopefully it will play as an enjoyable final challenge.

Crown Tunda DLC launches this Thursday / Friday between Pokemon Sword and Shield depending on your timezone.
