Says the acquisition would be “a highly complementary fit”.
Tech-to-Interactive, a publisher in Grand Theft Auto and Borderlands, is currently in talks to acquire responsible publishers in the UK and responsible and accountable developer codemasters such as DART and F1.
According to a VGC report, Take-Two – which already owns the publishing labels of 2K, Rockstar Games and the private sector – has announced that it has made a mandatory offer to codemasters to acquire full share capital in an internal statement released today.
To-to should make sure that once the perseverance is completed and other conditions are met, the Codemasters said its board would like to unanimously recommend that its shareholders accept the agreement.
Codemasters ’latest racer, Dart 5, has been released this week and here’s Eurogrammer Ian Higton leading it.
In a statement to VCG, Tech-Two confirmed the news, saying the acquisition would “bring together two world-class interconnected entertainment portfolios with a highly complementary fit between 2K and codemasters in the racing genre.”
The firm has until December 4 this year to announce its firm intention to make an offer for Tech to Interactive Codemasters.
