Post-Brexit. Gibraltar suspended from talks between Madrid and London

Brexit has come into effect from 31 December, but the British enclave in southern Spain, the case of Gibraltar, had to be resolved. Britain signed an agreement with Spain just before leaving the European Union. Details of the deal were to be decided next June. The English side already seems confident, even if they understand that the talks are not easy.

At a press conference in Gibraltar, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Rabb said, “Everybody knows that these talks can be tough, but we think we have stumbled a lot and in the talks we have over the Christmas period Is overcome. ”

The Framework Agreement under consideration provides for the Schengen Rules of Application to Gibraltar (free movement within 22 of the 27 EU member states and 22 other European countries).
