Volvo/Geely’s electric performance brand is expanding its research and development center near Birmingham, UK. As the manufacturer announced in a press release Thursday, the company intends to double the strength of the development team to 500 employees over an unspecified period.

Polestar players at Mira Technology Park in the British Midlands are to focus on the development of the “Precept”, which was first presented last year as a concept vehicle and which should go into series production in 2025.

Polestar 3 is still well covered.

Developers will have access to a variety of specialized equipment in the business park, including a battery testing environment, a test track network, and the many companies that have deposited their automotive expertise in the technology park.
