Oculus Quest 2 FacePad Covers VR Covers Now – VR Available from Road

If you plan to sweat on your Oculus Quest 2, you’ll want several blank facial interfaces, or cover the stock foam for easy cleaning. VR Cover, a company that has been creating VR facial interfaces since 2014, has just released their silicone and fabric variants for Quest 2.

As the official product partner with Oculus, the VR cover was taped directly from Oculus to provide the Platcher cover memory foam facial interface replacement. At the time of this writing, the 2 $ foam replacement is not yet available (like most government accessories at the moment), estimating international shipments for some time this month.

If you’re still looking for a solution from a trusted name, VR Cover now offers both silicone ($ 14 / € 14) and fabric ($ 19 / € 19) slip-over covers, available in the United States through purchasing channels of distribution providers. The EU and other parts of the world.

The silicone variant of the VR cover is said to be made from medical-grade, hypoallergenic silicone that can be cleaned with antibacterial wipes or washed thoroughly with soap and water. Unlike stock foam it comes with light-blocking guards around the nasal passages. The fabric version made from 100% cotton comes with two machine-washable covers for easy swap outs.

About a month after the launch of Quest 2, there are still not many options for VR cover or foam replacement, especially for Quest 2. Makes it hard to encourage quality parts on Amazon or eBay.

A clever and fairly inexpensive way to make sure all your VR headsets are sanitary is to use a single-use mask, which we’ve often seen at exposures and conferences – before all events were canceled this year. Still, you’ll find it great to keep your headset clean for an integrated demo with friends and family.

However, the facial interface foam is a magnet for grease, dust and of course bacteria. Check out our guide on how to clean your VR headset for some effective tips to protect your headset from the nests of nasty germs.

We can’t recommend any third party accessories yet as we haven’t had a chance. If you know of any quality replacement foam or covers for Quest 2, let us know in the comments below and we’ll add it to our list of options.
