Niamey hosts the third ECOWAS Mines and Petroleum Exhibition and Forum

The event is organized under the theme “Integrating Mining and Petroleum Industries in the Development of Regional Value Chains”. It brings together supreme government delegations from West African ECOWAS member states as well as key decision makers from the public and private sectors of the West African mining and oil industries.

ECOMOF 2021, one of the largest mining and oil events in the region, sees the participation of government delegations from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger . Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

The opening ceremony of the meeting took place in the presence of ECOWAS Commissioner Sediko Dauka, in charge of Energy and Mines, Niger’s Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energy Mahamane Sani Mahamadou, Niger and Babakar’s Minister of Mines Oseni Hadijato Yacoub. Finally, remember that ECOMOF 2021 benefits from the support of Orano Group, Global Atomic, OM Goldstone Resources, Govix Uranium, Endeavor, NIGELEC, IRD, Anglo Belgium Corporation and Foraco. The last edition of ECOMOF was held in Cte d’Ivoire in 2018.
