Newport County have agreed a deal with Bristol City to bring in striker Shaun McCoulsky on a loan deal until January.
The 20 year-old is rated highly by Bristol City manager Lee Johnson and will only add to the options Mike Flynn currently has at his disposal up front.
McCoulsky had three different loan spells last season with Bath City, Weston-Super-Mare and Torquay United and has earned a bit of a reputation for being a goal-getter following his 31 goals whilst out on loan.
The young striker also featured for Bristol City’s under-23’s last season as they finished fifth in the Professional Development League Two - they also took home the Central League Cup final South.
An exciting youth prospect, McCoulsky first joined the club in 2015 from Non-League outfit Dulwich Hamlet.
Following the signing, Newport County manager Mike Flynn expressed his delight of having the young striker on board via the official club website.
He said: “I’d like to thank Bristol City for their help with this. Shawn is a very quick and direct goal scorer and I’m very pleased to have him on board.”
