Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Algiers on Sunday on a three-day state visit at the invitation of his counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Abbas will meet with senior state officials on the latest developments on the Palestinian issue, as the Algerian regime is accused of exploiting the Palestinian issue for political purposes.
Mr Abbas was received by Tebboune and several senior Algerian government officials upon his arrival at Algiers International Airport, according to the APS news agency.
The next Arab League summit, scheduled for March in Algeria, will be on the agenda, given that the summit will address the Palestinian issue. A few days earlier, anti-journalist Anour Malek called on Palestinians not to give too much credit to alleged Algerian support for their cause.
