It is no longer possible for KPN customers to use the KPN iTV app in the United Kingdom. This relates to the Brexit agreement that came into force on January 1.

When asked, KPN informs Total TV that it will no longer be possible to use the ITV app for Dutch people who have purchased an Interactive TV subscription from the telecommunications company in the United Kingdom after January 1. KPN is thus following Ziggo, which previously announced that it was no longer possible to access the comparable online TV service in the United Kingdom. T-Mobile says it will keep all Brexit-related services – and therefore TV Anywhere – until there is more clarity about the agreements reached. T-Mobile says it is working closely with British partners. KPN, Vodafone (which is part of VodafoneZiggo with Ziggo) and T-Mobile are not yet charging roaming charges when using mobile telephone and data services in the United Kingdom. This is equivalent to the use in the United Kingdom in other member states of the European Union (EU).
According to spokesman Stijn Veselink, KPN takes a different position when using mobile telephone and data services. “At present, it is not possible to watch TV channels and other services from the United Kingdom through KPN’s ITV app. This is due to changing content rights, which result in the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU.”
