A case of the Indian version of Kovid-19, responsible for the outbreak of the epidemic in India, has been unearthed in Greece, the country’s health officials announced on Sunday.
The National Public Health Body (AOD) announced in a statement that “a positive sample (…) for the major version in India” was revealed “by a foreign woman, 33, who lives in Attica (metropolitan area) Athens. , Editor’s note) and traveled to Dubai on 4 April.
AOD said that when she left Dubai, the woman had a “negative PCR test”.
“This is the first case of the Indian version in Greece,” a source in the Greek Ministry of Health said on condition of anonymity.
The case was detected during a large-scale sampling by health services, the AOD said in a press release.
