Kovid-19: City doctors will vaccinate 25-64 year olds with great pomp from February 25 –

From February 25, people aged 50 to 64 with comorbidity (obesity, diabetes, cancer or respiratory disease) can be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, Friday’s announcement, in an “urgent” note, the Directorate General of Health (D.G.S. ). The injection will be applied directly to the city doctors office. Pharmacists are expected to join the campaign in March.

Volunteer city doctors are already invited to contact a pharmacy in order to receive future supplements and should now determine the appointment slots required for vaccination for their target patient population.

First time in limited quantity

If 700,000 doses of this vaccine were to be delivered to France on 17 February, the DGS warned: “The amount of earlier deliveries is lower than the number of doctors potentially involved in the vaccination campaign”.

“As a result, each doctor will have one vial for the first delivery (the week of 22 February), and a maximum of 2 and 3 vials for the second delivery (the week of 1 March), depending on the number of doses consumed and delivered. Each vial There are 10 doses of vaccine ”.

The available volume should increase very slowly from March, “yet to the specified ratio”, DGS specifies. Until now, the AstraZeneca vaccine has been restricted to health professionals under the age of 50.
