Asked what it feels like to be the father of daughters by WNBA star Neneca Ogwumike, 51-year-old Jay-Z spoke about his commitment to being a father, including learning to swim after Blue’s birth in 2012.
“It’s amazing. It’s so frozen. (…) I didn’t learn to swim before Blue was born,” he said. “This is where everything you need to know goes. It is a metaphor for our relationship. If it ever fell into the water and I could not retrieve it, I would not even be able to consider the idea. I want to learn to swim That’s all. This was the beginning of our relationship. “
The “Empire State of Mind” artist also discussed his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination in February, sharing that Blue did not get the response he expected.
