Speculation about the White House career after Ivanka Trump is now centered in Florida, where the soon-to-be ex-daughter and her president’s father’s senior aide are thought to have bought an expensive plot of land for a house and may be considered to run for the Senate
Ivanka Trump is often cited as an aspiration for her own political career, and while working for Donald Trump she tried to identify herself as a more media-friendly version of her father.
Now U.S. media reports are concentrating on Florida – where Donald Trump owns the Mar-a-Logo resort – as a possible basis for his own daughter to launch her own political career.
A source told CNN, “Ivanka certainly has political ambitions, there is no question about that.” “He wants to run for something, but it still needs to be found.”
Florida could provide a potential avenue in the run-up to the Senate in 2022 if current Republican Marco Rubio is re-elected. Rubio was a fierce critic of Donald Trump in the 2011 Republican nomination race but later died a loyal supporter of Trump after the election.
Adam C. Smith, a former editor of the Tampa Bay Times and now Mercury Public Affairs consultant, told CNN, “I think he would be instantaneous if he gained his father’s popularity in Sunshine State and ran against Ruby in the U.S. Senate.”
Speculation supports the speculation that Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner – who has also been a top and influential member of the White House team for the past four years – are spending millions of dollars on a property in Florida that will work their future home-based.
The New York Post reports that the pair are spending more than ৩০ 30 million on a plot of land on Miami’s exclusive Indian Creek Island, dubbed the “billionaire’s bunker.” The so-called island has made its own private police force proud of some of its richest major residences.
Ivanka Trump is not the only member of her family that possibly looks to the political future after Trump. Donald Trump Jr. – who was popular with his father on a conservative basis – is often seen as making a serious bargain to enter his own politics. Meanwhile, daughter-in-law Lara Trump has been named as a potential candidate for the North Carolina Senate.
