Israeli Forces Fatally Clash with Palestinians and Cause Extensive Damage to Nur Shams Camp – Insider Wales Sport

Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Man and Cause Damage in West Bank Refugee Camp

Israeli forces have killed a young Palestinian man and seriously injured another during a large raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp in the West Bank city of Tulkarem. The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the man killed as 21-year-old Ayed Samih Khaled Abu Harb, who was shot in the head.

Israeli forces used armoured tractors to storm the camp, destroying infrastructure, homes, and shops before withdrawing. The camp’s main road was partially destroyed, causing a disruption to transportation between the camp and other nearby cities. The Nur Shams refugee camp was established in 1952 to house Palestinian refugees from the Haifa area after the 1948 Nakba.

Another Palestinian man was killed later in the day in the Jordan Valley after allegedly opening fire at Israeli soldiers in an illegal Jewish settlement. The total number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army this year has risen to 233.

The Israeli army has been conducting near-daily raids on Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps in an attempt to crush Palestinian armed resistance. These raids often result in casualties and damage to infrastructure. Nur Shams was previously targeted in a large-scale raid on July 24, which resulted in numerous injuries and damage to infrastructure.

The Palestinian Authority has allocated a portion of its budget for the camp’s reconstruction after the previous raid. Palestinian officials and residents condemn the raids and insist that true security and peace will only come when Palestinians are given their rights to live in a dignified state.

This incident adds to the growing concern over the actions of the Israeli army in the occupied territories. The constant raids and violence have resulted in a high number of Palestinian casualties and the destruction of vital infrastructure. The international community must take immediate action to ensure the protection and rights of Palestinians.
