Four pupils have been arrested in Hong Kong in the first law enforcement operation to enforce China’s new countrywide safety law for the territory.
The 4 were being detained for “inciting secession” on social media immediately after the new law started on 1 July, law enforcement said.
A pro-independence group said these arrested included its previous leader, Tony Chung.
