London German women’s hockey started victorious in the FIH Pro League games against Great Britain. National coach Xavier Reckinger’s team prevailed in London with a 3: 2 (1: 1) in the first two doubles.

The match-winner, Charlotte Stapenhurst (57th minute), placed third in the table with her goal in the closing stage. Earlier, Jets Falechutz (14th) equaled his first international goal and Olympic champion’s lead with Lena Michel (41st).

However, the German men had to give up with the British with 3: 5 (3: 4). National coach Cass Al Saadi said, “We are not sad at all, we are just angry that we did not win the international match.” For their strongly rejuvenating team, the series of five wins ended. Nevertheless, the DHB selection claimed second place in the table.

Moritz Rothlander (first minute) put the Germans in the lead just seconds before the British were 3–1 away. When Harry Martin (32nd) achieved a final score of 5: 3, Thes Prinz (20th) and Paul Doze (28th) were shortened to 2: 3 and 3: 4. On Thursday, women (9 pm) and men (6 pm) will clash with each other again in London.
