Hugh Grant has donated £10,000 to the elderly suffering from rising electricity prices in the UK. The ‘Bridget Jones’ actor made a third donation to the Defer Association, which provides free plumbing and heating services for those in need.

Founder James Anderson joked that Hugh Grant should be renamed Jesus after making a generous donation on the charity’s GoFundMe page.

“If I could name him Jesus,” he said. “We are now able to give a 94-year-old woman a free boiler thanks to Hugh. Another woman has a brain tumor, her husband has had no heat or hot water for 17 months, and now they will get a new boiler. Hugh Thanks for. It’s not just a small help, it saves lives.”

Hugh reportedly took to Twitter to congratulate James on his initiative.

“He respects me and has great compassion for what we do,” he explained. “This man will always be my brother. I will probably never see him, but he will always be my brother.”

As a reminder, Hugh made the same donation last year.
