Can you provide a helping hand to Merthyr Town this weekend?

Merthyr Town F.C have announced this week that they will be looking for volunteers to attend the Loadlok Community Stadium.

With the clubs first pre-season fixture on Saturday 8th July against Penydarren BGC not far away, work is required to help carry out ground repairs to ensure that the ground will be ready to go ahead of the first home fixture.

The club have confirmed that refreshments will be on hand to all volunteers and that rolls will be provided. You do not have to be a trust member to attend, and all ages and experience would be gladly welcomed by the club.

What dates can I attend?

This forthcoming Friday June 23rd, will see the club working in conjunction with one of their ever-increasing business partners “Tydfil Training”.

The aim on Friday will be to commence work on the clubs newly announced memorial garden, and to also help with general ground maintenance including removing debris from the car park.

The memorial garden will be a welcome addition at the community club, and supporters will be able to reflect and remember loved ones in a peaceful setting inside the ground. Work is scheduled to begin at 10am.

The second opportunity to help if you are unable to make Friday will be this forthcoming Saturday 24th June.

The club will be looking to volunteers to commence work from 9:30am and will be carrying out general maintenance work from weeding, removing rust on crash barriers and painting.
