The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will lead South Korea for its next World Conference on Doping in Sport, the sixth of its kind scheduled for November 2025. Busan got an absolute majority in the first round of voting. The World Conference brings together more than 1,500 representatives of athletes and the sporting movement, governments, national and regional anti-doping organizations, laboratories, service providers, researchers and the media. Previous editions took place in Lausanne (Switzerland, 1999), Copenhagen (Denmark, 2003), Madrid (Spain, 2007), Johannesburg (South Africa, 2013) and Katowice (Poland, 2019).
