The saga of the great Pixel 6 Android 12 December update continues. If Pixels has always been known to receive Android updates and security patches first, then this time owners of the latest model are not in luck. Google has actually struggled with bugs and delays for weeks, and tries to fix them with fixes.

Patches available in January

By rolling out the December update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google has allayed some of the concerns, but also caused others. The main problem was the loss of network signal, making it impossible for many users to make calls, especially in Europe. Faced with the extent of the damage, Google announced in a message posted on the Pixel support forum that it has suspended the deployment of this update on these devices. The message further states that a solution has been found. Good News possibly, except that it won’t be rolled out until the end of January in an update. The latter would include all the reforms and reforms expected on the basis in December.

It should also be remembered that apart from the bugs apparently caused by previous updates, the Pixel 6 has faced several concerns since its release in October 2021. We can cite the fingerprint reader, the lack of network reliability, in a mess. Signal problems, streaming quality restrictions, or automatic rotation malfunctions.

The company also explains, in the rest of the message, how to do the reverse for Pixel 6 owners who have already installed the December update. It is actually possible for them to go back to the previous software version using the Android Flash Tool.

Google concluded by apologizing for the inconvenience caused… and called for patience.
