Olivier Ferraton, you are the President of GL Events, why did you buy Field and Lawn?
To strengthen its position in the UK. Field and Lawn is exclusively present in Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol. The company offers on decoration of event structures, industrial structures, lighting and public spaces. That’s why we are present in all of our businesses.
We already had bases in the United Kingdom, exclusively through our subsidiary Spaciotempo. We’re going to structure these different entities. We’re going to be working on the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this summer. We also have a contract for 2023. Being on site avoids transportation costs and reduces our carbon footprint.
Are you considering other acquisitions?
We are always on standby. The idea is that in each of our geographic locations, we create a Mini GL event with our entire offering. We also have a social role and develop local skills.
What are the plans for GL Events’ big investment this year?
We are always investing in technologies. Specifically, we obtained four hydrogen generators. We are going to use this technology at the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France, which will take place on 24 July at Le Castellet.
