The Paramount+ streaming service has partnered with Gaumont. The agreement should make it possible to diversify Paramount+’s offering. As part of Paramount+’s editorial strategy, Gaumont will produce this original content in collaboration with Paramount’s international studio, VIS, which provides for the production of 50 new projects in 2022.
Paramount+ has announced its first series project, which it intends to launch on the platform worldwide: Le Signal (France), a horror thriller inspired by Maxime Chattum’s bestselling novel. The development of three other projects based on Olivier Norek’s bestselling novel was also announced: Futuro Desierto (Argentina), Anywhere (Germany) and Impact (France),
These original productions are part of 40 Gaumont projects already in preparation or production at their six international subsidiaries (Paris, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Cologne and Rome), including Narcos Season 6 (United States), Barbarian Season 2 (Germany). are complementary. Lupine Season 2 for Netflix (France); loss for Netflix (UK); El Presidente (USA) and Totem (France) for Amazon, Kaiser Carl’s (France) for Disney, and Stillwater (US) for Apple.
Paramount+ continues to expand its global presence with planned launches in the UK, South Korea, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy in 2022.
