Bath has officially confirmed the signing of former Cheetah and Vodacom Bulls’ Butterfly Tian Shuman on an 18-month contract.
The showman has moved from the Cheetahs to PRO14 and will join the team tomorrow after undergoing a strict self-isolation process after arriving in England on Wednesday 6 January.

The 29-year-old joins the Blues, Blacks and Whites on an 18-month contract and will support Rice Priestland, helping to develop young players, particularly Orlando Bailey.
Shomen joined the Cheetahs before the Kareena Cup 2018 in the 2018-19 PRO14 season. He previously played for Bordeaux in the French Top 14 in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Between 2013 and 2016, he represented the Blue Bulls in 29 matches and the Bulls in 35 Super Rugby matches.
“Ryan brings a wealth of experience from his time in Super Rugby and PRO14,” said Bath Rugby manager Stuart Hooper.
“Of all the options considered in our scouting and recruiting work, Tian has shown that he attributes both to being successful as an individual and as a player to succeed with Bath here in the UK. “
