The French Development Agency (AFD) is launching the fifth edition of the AFD Digital Challenge, a competition dedicated to start-ups and digital innovations to promote the conservation of climate and biodiversity in Africa.

Digital innovation in the service of climate and biodiversity AFD Group continues to strengthen its support for start-ups and African digital players for the fifth consecutive year. The digital revolution, driven by a new generation of entrepreneurs embracing innovation, economic performance, social and environmental impact, is transforming the African continent. Each year, the AFD Digital Challenge aims to identify, promote and accelerate their development of these start-ups.
The purpose of this fifth edition is to highlight digital innovation projects in the fight against protection of the environment, global warming and / or conservation of biodiversity. The competition is targeted at start-ups, associations and research centers on the African continent offering innovative solutions to reduce the carbon impact of economic activities, promote sustainable, participatory and civic management of natural resources, and economic activities We do. A tailor-made Key 10 winning projects will benefit from financial support, but also from support to accelerate their project and participate in the development of solutions for the conservation of climate and biodiversity. They will be supported by AFD for 20,000 euros through an “acceleration pack”, technical and financial support.
