University of North Carolina Announces Men’s Basketball Schedule for 2023-24 Season
The University of North Carolina men’s basketball team has officially unveiled its schedule for the highly anticipated 2023-24 season. The schedule includes a series of exciting events and home games, promising an action-packed season for Tar Heel fans.
The season kicks off on November 6 at the Dean E. Smith Center, where the Tar Heels will face off against Radford in what is expected to be an intense showdown. This game marks the beginning of a series of six home games in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Following their opener, the Tar Heels will continue their hot streak with matchups against Lehigh and UC Riverside, all of which will take place at the comfort of their home court. These early home games will surely offer the team an excellent opportunity to set the tone for the season.
However, the real excitement begins as Carolina hits the road for a remarkable seven-game swing, with six of those games being held at neutral sites. The highlight of this stretch is undoubtedly the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis, set to take place in the Bahamas. This prestigious event will see the Tar Heels go head-to-head against formidable opponents such as Northern Iowa, Texas Tech or Villanova, and Arkansas, Memphis, Michigan, or Stanford.
Notably, this marks the third time that the Tar Heels will participate in the Battle 4 Atlantis, indicating the team’s continued success and recognition in the college basketball world. In addition to this competition, Carolina will also face off against Tennessee in the ACC-SEC Challenge at Chapel Hill on November 29, followed by a thrilling matchup against reigning NCAA champions, Connecticut, in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on December 5.
As the team continues its journey, they will make their way to Atlanta for the 10th CBS Sports Classic, where they will encounter the formidable Kentucky team. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as the Tar Heels will then venture to the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte to take on Oklahoma on December 20.
The non-conference schedule will conclude on December 29 with a home game against Charleston Southern at the Smith Center, leaving fans eager to witness what promises to be a thrilling regular-season.
Although the full schedule, which includes league games, will be revealed by the Atlantic Coast Conference in September, the Tar Heels’ 2023-24 season is one that is already brimming with anticipation and unmatched potential. Stay tuned to Insider Wales Sport for updates on this exciting season.
