Event: Italian Cultural Institute starts Breaking Walls Dance Festival in Cairo

The film festival is part of a larger festival that also includes several other activities called the “Breaking Walls Festival”, taking place in its fourth edition at the same time.

Movies from Egypt, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, France and Argentina will be screened.

Admission to the festival is free, but reservations must be made through the program link.

The event will follow COVID-19 precautions, including social distancing, sterilization and mandatory face masks.

Day 1: Wednesday 27 October

– Opening Ceremony
– Manwara (Denmark / Egypt)
– “Pending” (Italy)
– “Original” (Egypt)
– “Between Heaven and Home” (Egypt)

Day 2: Thursday, October 28
– ‘Homing in at Home’ (Italy/Great Britain)
– “Four Walls” (Egypt)
– ‘Tabularasa’ (Egypt/Argentina)
– ‘FTHM’ (Egypt/USA)

Day 3: Friday 29 October
– Pavlova Trilogy (Netherlands / Poland)
– Dance from Egypt (Egypt / America)

Day 4: Saturday 30 October
– “Dear” (Japan/France)
– “TRIXIE” (Switzerland)

Day 5: Sunday 31 October
– “Vista dei Nuante” (Italy/Egypt)
Live performances by Hazem Ras, Macy’s Beczek and Ali Issac
