European Professional Club Rugby | Anna Young New Communication and PR Director of EPCR

EPCR is pleased to announce that Anna Young has been selected for the position of Director of Communications and Public Relations.

Drawing on her experience in public relations and communication for renowned sporting events, Anna joins the Lausanne-based organizer of the Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup tournaments starting this month.

His most recent projects have focused on Euro 2020 communication strategy and sponsorship activation, ICC T20 Cricket World Cup partnerships and UK coverage. Discovery Eurosport of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

In addition, thanks to her previous assignments for World Rugby, Premiership Rugby, Bath Rugby and the Barbarians, she will be able to draw on her extensive network of contacts with rugby stakeholders in her new role at the EPCR.

Thanks to his expertise in both local and international communication, he has also contributed to the success of major events such as the London 2012 Olympic Games, the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

She will be in charge of establishing a new communication strategy for the EPCR with an aim to strengthen the image of the organization and its tournaments. She will also oversee institutional communication, press relations, development of EPCR’s digital platform and management of its CSR programme.
Anthony Lepage, Chief Executive of the EPCR, commented: “We are delighted that someone as experienced as Anna has been included in our organization at such a critical time for professional club rugby in Europe. Effective communication is an imperative for all sporting administrations. The equipment is there and Anna will play a key role in the development of our tournament.
