European Commission proposes visa waiver for citizens of two Arab countries

The European Commission has proposed visa waivers for citizens of Qatar and Kuwait, insisting that these countries have already met the required criteria. The proposal follows a detailed assessment of irregular migration, public politics and security, economic benefits and the EU’s relations with Qatar and Kuwait.

Qatar’s ambassador to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Abdulaziz bin Ahmed, received the legal document of the European Commission’s proposal on the exemption of citizens from the State of Qatar of Schengen visas.
