The Eloise Tennis Club with approximately 180 members has become the village’s first association.

Exponential growth, supported by the work done by the municipality (renovating the courts, building a mini-tennis), but also by the members themselves, who are investing in the adornment of the living environment.

A development that has not escaped the notice of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), which came through departmental president Bernard Massins, along with treasurer Francis Espinase, to hand over a check of €10,200 to the first magistrate of the commune. With William Berghofer, his assistants Claude Eymrich and Alain Marglett and Director General of Services Marianne Brunet.

“It’s a win with the Eloise Tennis ClubAdvanced William Berghofer. It is true that we work very closely in terms of site development and maintenance. We provide tools and association works to beautify the site. They got this subsidy which they gave us. This has made it possible to reduce the share of self-financing of the municipality.”,

President Christian Chappelle struck a double whammy in this matter by being recognized by the FFT for the work done in Ile. “It is quite extraordinary that an association, through a departmental committee and a club, contributes to development. There are many associations that do not. The focus of the clubs are recovery plans for the development of places of life. They are directed towards clubs that have ambition. The number of club licensees has exploded and in the eyes of the association, this is the main criterion”,

Opportunity for elected officials to visit facilities that have developed over the past three years. “We sat around a table to talk about the future and projects close to my heart. Specifically, finding a fourth court in Ile, like in the 1980s. This fourth court gives us our time slots and competition. days, when we have problems hosting matches. We often have to take help from Vinca. Since 2017, we have gone from 70 to 180 licensees. We have people who are other people. Come from municipalities without grounds. 17 municipalities are represented. We are at a point where we cannot go beyond 180 licensees.”, A position that raises the question of inter-municipal aid raised by President Christian Chappell.
