Cardiff Devils have confirmed a three-year deal with high street retailer Peacocks ahead of the 2017/2018 campaign.
The current Elite League Champions and Challenge Cup Champions have struck a deal with Peacocks as their new sponsors for the next three seasons.
Being part of the Edinburgh Mill Group, there are over 1,000 stores across the United Kingdom and Following the announcement, Cardiff Devils managing director Todd Kelman expressed his delight at the deal when speaking to the Cardiff Devil’s official website.
He said: We are pleased to welcome Peacocks on board as title sponsors for the next three seasons. This is a strong Cardiff based brand that is well-known throughout the UK.
The fact that they are supporting the Devils and promoting our sport is great for the Devils and for the Elite League.
The news of the new deal will only help to enhance the brand of the five-time League Champions and Peacocks’ head of marketing, Wayne Thomas also spoke highly of striking a deal with the Devils and is very much looking forward to the season ahead.
He said: “Peacocks is a family value retailer, with customers up and down the country shopping with us on their local high streets and while we are nationwide brand, we are committed to supporting local communities.
“The Devils are synonymous with Cardiff sports and as a Cardiff based company, we wanted to align our brand with them.
Supporting our local team is at the forefront of the sponsorship and we believe that this is a win-win for both parties. We are looking forward to another great season that includes the Champions Hockey League starting at the end of August.”
Through the agreement it will mean all peacocks stores will sell Cardiff Devil’s merchandise and all current season ticket holders will receive a 20% discount of any Devils product they decide to purchase.
